Perhaps this is why Bush is so keen to try to make a case to align ALQuada with Saddam. Frankly, I think Bush is lying and have seen articles where the CIA and FBI claim that they can't make a case to link them together though they have tried. If Bush can lump his invasion of Iraq into the terrorism retaliation resolution that Congress passed ( foolishly I might add ), then he can justify his actions constitutionally..........or try to. This is why, IMHO ( actually I am not very humble these days ), he is trying to hard to link ALQuada to Saddam. From what I have heard, the Kurds in the north of Iraq are closer in philosophy to Bin Ladin than Saddam and they tried to assassinate Saddam with Bin Ladin's help in the past. Their differences probably have something ( or everything)to do with Moslem Fundamentalism, which Saddam does not share with his strictly religious, AL Quada counterparts. Bush did not back up his claims of an AL Quada tie to Saddam with any evidence, he just claimed it was true. I don't believe there is a tie in due to their public hatred of each other in the past and because of their religious differences. Bin Ladin must be laughing like crazy to think that Saddam will be annihilated because of an alleged link to him. And Bin Ladin will jump at the chance to activate many sleeper cells of Moslems in order to generate vengeance against all the Moslems that will be killed by our bombs. This whole scenario is a dream come true for Bin Ladin. He must be thanking Allah everynight in his prayers for having such a stupid American administration who would play straight into his plans. PT
