Re: "Make the case for a ruthless dictator who has shown his hatred towards the US and would conspire to hurt US citizens abroad and at home, yes."

Not sure exactly where he has shown his hatred for the US or its citizens. Osama maybe... but Hussein??? I'm not sure what you're referring to. No doubt he feels betrayed over the years but I'm not sure precisely what you're referring to when you say he's "shown his hatred towards the US" I would have thought that was to come once the war begins.

I think you're confusing Osama with Hussein.

As for making a case for the Euro

More over, in December 2002 ten additional countries were approved for full membership into the E.U. In 2004 this will result in an aggregate GDP of $9.6 trillion and 450 million people, directly competing with the U.S. economy ($10.5 trillion GDP, 280 million people).

Nothing on comparisons of their national debts, but I do expect the UK to adopt the Euro eventually also.

The article does present some sound reasoning and I can't see any glaring errors in his arguments, but then again who am I to judge. I can see many other things which are happening in the world which seem to harmonize with his basic premise, which also makes more sense that the official US regime line we're being asked to swallow.

There is also an addendum to the original article here. It begins about a page and a half down:

sf.indymedia.org

which I have just begun reading but won't finish tonight.

Time to turn in.
