From the main cheerleading channels, All Iraq, all the time. Considering that there is no one making the real case against war (as opposed to saying "we support the President and our troops, but...") or even asking the hard questions, I am not surprised they can report an 80% figure. "Do you support the President in the use of force against Iraq in order to protect America from terrorism?" 80% say yes. However, when you frame the question differently: "Do you believe the US should attack Iraq even if the UN Security Council believes they do not have effective WMDs?" you get a much more mixed response. Most Americans have always believed we should not fight aggressive wars. However, a steady diet of pro-war propaganda has many believing that attacking Iraq is somehow a form of defence against future 9/11 attacks. /Kit
