I already covered VLNC once at 12.5 and reshorted above 17.5. if the stock continues to rise I don't think I would cover again and reshort, instead I would simply buy calls/sell puts to hedge.>>

So you're basically saying that Bill's shorts took it on the chin during the peak of the most irrationally bullish market in two generations.

If that's the biggest slam you've got, then you've got nothing.

P.S. I checked and found that I netted just under three points trading VLNC short in the midst of all that craziness. Not too shabby, eh?
