I recall seeing one of those CNN polls that came out with approximately the same ratio you mentioned. The question was along the lines of "in foreign policy, who do you trust more Bush or Powell".

Why not ?
For years the French have tried to crush our blossoming grape and wine industry. Using subversive agents to travel on false passports to visit our wineries, disguised as so-called "expert" wine tasters.
While visiting the fields, they use biochemical weapons carried in their shoes to contaminate the plants with viruses like Eultypa, Leafroller, Pylophlhora, and even the most deadly and feared of all- the dreaded Amillaria
Half their economy depends on raising, pruning, crushing, and bottling grape juice in various forms
Therefore they have conducted a insidious globe- spanning, pre-emptive strikes on other nations vineyards in order to maintain a monopoly. They have even gone so far as to recruit our own citizens to do the dirty work. Offering winos off the street corners monetary rewards and call girls in exchange for visiting wine-tasting facilities to spread the viruses.
This action started long ago, and has been known the CIA, but it was at the beginning of the Clinton Reign
it became far more prevalent when he struck a deal with the French Premier to ignore the operation in exchange for soft money.
By ignoring the problem it has risen to become so pervasive it may never be completely eliminated.
So I think the only solution left is to invade France, and divide up their vineyard ownership in proportion to the population of other countries.

it showed 70% believed Powell concerning the invasion vs 30% for GWB.

The figures were 64/28, according to what was said on PBS yesterday, and was about who was more highly regarded between the two, not who they believed on the war. It was cited to show how important Powell is to Bush in presenting the case for invading Iraq.

You seem mighty elated over this coming war.

Yes, I am. And so is a lot of the country. We are the ones who have been madder than hell since 911, and are not willing to set down with the Muslims and "Forgive and Forget." We think a "Slum Clearance" program in the ME is needed. We look on taking out Saddam as part of the overall plan needed in our fight to stop this Fundamentalist Muslim attack on our country. We don't think cutting off the branches is enough. We want to see the roots pulled out. This is going to go on for a long time.

You do know we're not invading France, right?

We didn't call up any Girl Scouts, did we?
