The Bush administration is very gung-ho about going to war. Most Americans want to take a slower approach to this." It is SO easy to be against war when you are an inexperienced, young kid who doesn't understand the issues. This is not unlike the syndrome exhibited by many liberals, who are grown up, but still don't understand the issues. I think for the most part it really is as simple as that -- inexperienced or confused people who don't comprehend the threats.
