wow you make me look bullish (ggg) on long term stuff. for the record, as i have my horns on short term of a few weeks to a month, i am very bearish longer term. interested to know how you would roll demographics into a timeline of 07/08 and then 18. i just know there is still plenty of excess adn it will take a few years to wring out.
i agree on the inflation but i doubt it shows up in 2003. i think it will start to rear its ugly head in 2004. as it perks up interest rates will rise, bonds will get killed and be a very ugly option. money will flow to cash and stocks. the infusion to stocks may help ebb the flow, but who knows if its still a net draw or gain. interest rates up around 5-6% for savings will look outstanding to those battered by markets for four losing years in a row on the indexes in 2003.
