The Treaty of Versailles all but exterminated every German, completely ruined that country. And so what rose up but Hitler far worse than the misbegotten Kaiser Wilhelm. Yes, we should learn from history. Sometimes, "forebearance is the greater part of valor.."

A couple of other slices of history we can learn from vis a vis WAR....the failed war on drugs and the failed Vietnam War. IMO war won't solve anything.
