Here is one source that validates that the public continues to buy the dip.

I don't doubt it, but the problem is the volume is too low for much of that dip-buying to be going on... I think it was Kirk on SI who said its the last 5 guys at a thousand player poker tournament. Maybe the public is all thats left in sun micro for example, the institutions are all gone?

I know I tried to buy 3000 shares jnpr one day for a trade... it took 10 minutes to execute. As if there was no inventory, only shorts in the stock.

I kept hearing about those paper airplanes on the floor of the nyse in 1974... this is like that imo.
