Non participation is still participation unless those counting the ballots fail to recognize the non participants as potential voters. This is truly the reason behind the wasteful spending carried out every day. Law has been written to facilitate minority rule, that is a fact.

When the leadership of either party operates to ends not connected with the larger body politic, that populations, says No by way of Abstension.

The constitution is the foundation of this Republic. The constitution is what lures people from all over the world to these shores. Politics is a means to an end for coallitions who could care less about the constitution.

Politics as usual is corrupt IMO.

I love this country too.

It's the political hegemony of the parties that is the root of most problems. I served as a volunteer in the armed services. I pay taxes and work every day, my duty to my country is beyond political. Cliches about voting for politicians who themselves live at the trough, are not convincing too me. I will vote for people who I view as having integrity, if I suspect they have been bought, I stay home. Politics as usual needs a revolution of heart, as it is the parties dont reflect the majority at all.

Politicians need to know that much of what goes on is transparent to thinking people. Does America need to fund another statue with tax dollars so robert byrd can have his ego stroked....How anyone can respect these behaviors baffles me. Both sides have their looters, and both are unafraid to use their power for the anointed few against the interests of the many.

That is the way it is, but I preserve my right to say so, and to argue that the parties themselves should change or be challenged by new coallitions of like minded non voting Americans. I predict that there will be this movement within the next 3 election cycles, data support this.
