Democratically elected? Mohammad Mossadeq got to power immediately after the assassination of Iranian Premier Ali Razmara, in 1951.

At the time, Communist USSR was threatening to take over, and to dominate the world. If we hadn't of removed Mohammad Mossadeq as ruler, and the USSR had gotten control of Iran's oil, you, and the rest of us, would probably be speaking Russian right now.
