Saving face.
It appears there is no backing out now.
I suspect that even if Hussein were to leave Iraq tomorrow, we would go in anyway.

On face the nation today, the final thoughts were that we are going in regardless, other wise Bush will lose face.

It's good to see that saving face is grounds for war.
Saving face is one of my top reasons for going to war, how about yours?

BTW whatever happened to War being declared by Congress?
Since when do presidents get to declare war?
Did Iraq attack us?
Did the UN authorize this war?

Bush and Rumsfeld want war, and peace at any price, no matter how cheap is too costly. War at any price in lives and dollars is cheap, and regardless of the fact that we have no proof of Sadaam doing anything, and regardless of the fact that Sadaam is no serious threat to the greatest superpower on earth. However, when you are this hell bent on war, you get war. Would not want to lose face by backing down now.

This is the Bush/Rumsfeld war, no more no less.
Congress has not declared it, the vast majority of US citizens do no want it, world opinion is against us, facts do not support it, and a Hussein that is bottled down with inspections is no real threat to anyone.

Bush and Rumsfeld are arguably two of the most dangerous men in the world.
