I have always been – and still am – unconvinced, to say the least, about the campaign in Serbia.

I concur.. Except that I believe the removal of Milosevic was paramount to returning the region to some form of stability...

But it DOES provide a perfect example of how European countries, led by France and Germany, have been unable to create peace in their own backyard. It was only the nightly scenes of destruction being shown on CNN that cause public opinion to support doing something in the Balkans...

But I'm not sure that independence for Kosovo is an answer.. Small nations have a great deal of difficulty in being viable economies.

Btw, I see Iraq turned over some more documents on VX, Anthrax, and Nuclear weapons...

I guess Bush was right in assuming they're were holding out on the UN back in December...

But even now, Hans Blix stated they "aren't looking for a smoking gun" but evidence that Iraq is beginning to cooperate properly.. (A cooperation that only comes as 150,000 US troops gather on Iraq's border)..

Nope... They get documents, but the Iraqis apparently fail to brief Blix on what those documents contain...

If I were provided documents in such a manner, I WOULD DEMAND an immediate briefing of what they contain.. I should not have to wait until they are translated to know what they contain.
