But he added: "I would much rather see inspections than some other solution," referrring to Washington's threats to launch a military strike. "I hope I have seen a beginning of taking these remaining disarmament issues seriously," Blix told reporters after two days of talks in Baghdad. > What a joke! Why on earth would Blix think he's going to get co-operation? It's a drip feed method of stringing everyone along. Here's my military strategy. Get all the troops lined up around Iraq. Then, drive up to 10km outside Iraq. There won't be much, or any, opposition. Then announce that at midnight on 12 March, those who haven't left town should put their lead hats on because there's going to be a little neutron bomb go bang 20 km high. Those who leave and surrender their weapons to USA or UN troops surrounding the city will not have any problem. Plenty would be hired as UN police and observers. Saddam would either have to come out or hide in a bunker. Then, when nobody else is leaving, take a look around and find the bunkers and reoccupy the city [everyone goes home again]. There would only need to be one shot fired. Heck, there might not need to be even the first neutron bomb, let alone subsequent ones at lower altitudes. It's a shame to have spent all that money on developing nukes without actually using them. Here's an excellent opportunity. Okay, maybe there'd need to be some fine tuning, but nukes seem to be persuasive that it's time to surrender. Japan soon gave up after Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed. Mqurice
