Isn't this really about collateral damage? I for one dread the thought of one American or Allied casualty but it appears as if every time the war drums are about to reach crescendo, Saddam provides just enough information for the moderates to come to his rescue and set forth a proposal that gives him more time. The question remains, more time for what? Is it not readily apparent to most that this man is no good and this game of full card monty where the WMD are moved around the Iraqi desert in a preposterous game of cat and mouse needs to come to an end.

We can NEVER convince everyone that the motive here is not just control of Iraqi oil but it's not just oil it's an out of control despot who is a time bomb waiting to go off. We need to ask ourselves if it not for the oil would we still go after Saddam? I think so but unfortunately we won't be able to be proven right until after he uses WMD against us and by then "I told you so" won't serve anyones interest.

The bottom line remains that a lunatic with nuclear, chemical and biological weapon capabilities cannot be permitted to hold the free world hostage. He must be dealt with!
