The French have concessions but haven't acted on them yet and would have been stupid to have done any building since 9/11. Even if this is postponed to next year they still won't build anything with the smell of war on the wind.

I don't have an Enfield, will my Garand be ok?

ShiloCat,

Another post or two said the US should attack now to keep France from getting all the oil booty. (None of these were your posts, BTW).

I just thought it was rather comical that France's maneuvering had flushed a few petro hypocrites out from hiding.

Can you tell me how French, German, Russian and Chinese control of Iraqi oil fields is in America's and Britain's strategic energy interests? What is holding Bush and Blair up? Surely neither of them expect a UN security council decision in their favor? The longer the invasion to liberate Iraq is delayed, the more likely that certain EU members, Russia and China will prevail. If Bush fails to invade Iraq, he may well be remembered as the President who presided over the weakening of American economic and military power.

Also, I see that North Korea has threatened America stating that the US is not the only country who can make a pre-emptive strike. Just one nuclear sub off the coast of North Korea should be sufficient to respond to a North Korean pre-emptive nuclear attack on the 35,000 American soldiers stationed in South Korea.
