imo it was a miscalculation to pick a war with saddam over kuwait in the first place. it is hard to imagine that a continued alliance with saddam would have resulted in more damage on the home front than the continued alliance with the hillbillies in riyadh has caused.

i realize the administration is trying to avoid discussing it, but the facts do not go away: those were saudis manning the 9-11 planes, osama is a saudi, he is funded by saudi money.

until we decided to pick a fight with the saddam he was a far more able and willing accomplice than the saudis have proven to be.
