LOL!

That scenario only plays out if we keep electing pinheads like Gore and Clinton....

i'm not sure of annihilation by china, but life here would slowly become like life in Israel, or Karachi, or Kashmir or Sarajevo or Chechenya...

I doubt if anyone here can really understand the dynamics of such a change and what it entails. Americans have enjoyed peace for such a long that most cannot imagine what it is to be living under a constant threat of violence. It changes the fabric of the society - beside having the obvious economic fallout, it creates an increase in teenage pregnancies, suicides, divorces, crime, mental health problems...you name it....

I was doing college in Kashmir back then and life was good. No crime, great living standards. And then terrorism struck.....and spread to other parts of India <with Panjab>.

Another aspect of terrorism is brain drain and de-gentrification of larger cities....people will emigrate to safer places, some even out of US.....and that may really affect US economy....and the downward spiral accelerates....

Not a decent scenario IMO...

Oh well !

>>China will become a superpower after we dissipate our human resources, destroy our economy and engender hatred towards this country throughout the world. We'll be too busy putting out the terrorist fires that will constantly erupt if we go ahead with war to defend our own shores.<<

A reasonable worry. But I doubt China will become a single superpower like the U.S. today in the next couple of decades.

>>China will come after us and they will tell us to disarm and under the pre-emptive Iraq attack rule, they can go ahead and annihilate us as Bush plans to do to the Iraqis.<<

This is a bit far-fetching. But should that happen, I will fight against the Chinese aggression shoulder to shoulder with you.

P.S. You've probably already seen though, the U.S. power is no longer controlled by the Majority of American people but by a foreign interest group. The greatest danger for the U.S. comes from inside rather than outside.
