I said in an earlier post that I consider Robert Reich to be the biggest idiot in the Clinton admin. Be aware that I support the Clinton admin for the most part. But not Robert Reich. I remember an interview with him where he said that the only thing that eliminating capital gains taxes did in the 80s/90s was to make the super rich even richer. Listening to him it sounded like he thought the richest man in the world was a DuPont or a Vanderbilt vs. a Gates. He just didn't get the transfer and destruction of wealth which is a part of capitalism.

Most of Clinton's economic team I greatly prefer over Bush's choices. Both Snow and O'neill I think were weak choices especially Snow. Choosing someone from the arcane railroads industry doesn't cut it for me. I liked Rubin, Tyson, all of Clinton's choices there. I also prefer Clinton's handling of international affairs vs. Bush (except Powell, who is much better than anyone Clinton had). Bush starts too many wars and doesn't get the importance of speaking softly and carrying a big stick. (I read that in 2 posts on this issue today so I'm lifting it, it is right on though). With Bush everything is right out there on CNN for the world to see, this stuff should be private, Bush is yelling fire in a crowded theatre.
