If my premise that multinationals are selling along with international interests : bonds and other interest bearing instruments backed by dollars and that they are also hedging by going long gold: then wouldn't it make sense to think the war is having little impact on gold and if once we are in control in Iraq.~~~~ Who knows some hedge funds may be selling derivatives to cover the treasuries they are holding and taking the cash and buying gold.~~~~ But if my premise is true the end of the war will have little impact on the price of gold and any decline due to this reason may be a good buying opportunity. So do you feel this is the beginning of a longer term upswing in Gold prices.I think I do. We may backfill for 3 to 6 months but I see us breaking 400 by Xmas..what is your take.?
