Opinion is turning against Bush's stance....so they have to attack before opposition grows even further. They are ?hoping scenes of Iraqis celebrating after being liberated will change world opinion quickly.

War could probably start within a week or so. With the talk of US open to a second US resolution, I would expect a surprise attack very soon instead. It is only a way to divert attention so that Saddam does not torch the oil fields. Attacking while there is attention given to alternate solutions is the the perfect timing from a military point of view.

Not expecting the start with the usual air war...ground forces will be going in first to secure strategic oil wells.
That would also prove my theory that it is mainly about oil.
