Summers get hot, although the Sonoran desert North of the city is a couple thousand feet higher and generally 10-20 degrees cooler than what you see on TV on the tar at the airport for the days high. Of course as you know you also often have 40 degree swings in tempature in a 24 hour period, so that TV number often portends quite a plesent morning when you see folks out running and biking before work. We dont' change time here so you have several hours in the morning before work.

That said, I take the family to Canada in the summer. :)
