As an ex-CPA, you really should be more careful with numbers.

No, it's only as a CPA that one needs to be careful with numbers. The requirements on preventing one's ex-CPA status from lapsing are much less stringent.

John.

Hey rkral, I'm sure it varies by industry, but in information technology, I am seeing very large numbers of people looking for jobs. I stay in tune with this stuff, because since I'm in consulting I have a higher rate of churn in my line of work. So I'm always looking for qualified candidates. The number out there is very high and what's more is that they are willing to work for much less than they used to...I'm talking about 20% less. Currently, I have 22 resumes on my hard drive that are from people that are more qualified than some on my staff. If I lost anyone soon, I could find a better replacement within a week. So I'm not exagerating.
