JC will be going, just not yet -g-
Do you really think life here in Canada,eh, is all that much different than life in the United States ? I don't feel like I'm in a socialist nightmare. Sure our health care system isin't what it used to be, but we can still go to the local doc for free. Have you asked one of the many millions of Americans who i hear do not have health insurance if that could turn into a "nightmare" for them ? Besides, perhaps instead of firing salvos, you might wanna look into our currency as a safer haven than your own !

It can be very frustrating Liz. ggg.

Parliamentary democracies are dictatorial by their nature, with the PM wielding complete control. No checks or balances other than public opinion. We inherited this system from the Brits. And yes, can't escape the fact that people vote Liberal, especially those in the Eastern part of Canada (Ontario & Quebec). The Liberals are known as the "natural" governing party, "in the middle" of the political spectrum.

All a Canuck "with no balls or no constitutional power" can do is wimper and complain (in a higher pitched voice of course) and hope for a political sea change.

That's how its like.
