LindyBill, We are going to see a lot of posts that this is due to the "Macho" behavior of this Admin. But I think it is going to be a structural change. NATO is just not as important any more. The very fact that it was enlarged so much weakened it. Pundits have been writing for years that this "Everybody in" philisophy was a mistake, but it just changed it to a mutual aid society for Europe that could keep us involved. Welcome to the Paradigm Shift club. The person to watch this week is Putin. He has the most to gain from a re-aligned UN/NATO world and he will want to be on the winning team. I wonder where Yalta II will be held? Paul
