Certainly all "Gods" are created fronm the fears and hopes of conscious beings. This does not mean there are not incredible beings. And it certainly does not mean that WE are not incredible beings! But we are certainly not "eternal" in a universe of time and decay and change. There may or may not be an underlying essence which is eternal. It matters not to me that "I" perceive the world as a carrot or as Mary Bodner at some point a billion years hence. The "I" is unimportant. I lose it every single night. I never was, and I never will be again. In the meantime, "I" AM!
