"Ashcroft wanted to teach us a lesson in federal power." But will California learn? It is highly doubtful. The sad part of it is that our once proud state is going down the tubes fast. We still have the most awesome piece of real estate on the planet, but we are $35 BILLION in the whole, and the rich people that you lefties hate so much are bailing almost as fast as the illegals are moving in. Not a pretty picture. Wish our state would look out for the average tax payer more, and not spend so much time and money making sure we can all get stoned, and on the people who don't contribute to our state. When I finally pull my tax dollars and move out (as my tax paying step father did in retirement), I will still come back to visit the nice scenery.
