Remember how critical the Bushies said U2 flights were? Not any more........they have said thanks but no thanks to Iraq's offer. Remember in the early days of this debate on this thread, we (me, you and even some on the thread who support this war) occasionally wondered (and hoped) that Bush was playing a grand game of chicken. I was hopeful....but frankly skeptical. Al, you mean the "masterful" scheme that heralded the great international diplomacy of the Bush administration.....yeah, I remember. The worse part about it is that the great 'unifier' not only will attack Iraq but also take down some of America's long term alliances in the process. The controversy in the NATO is unbelievable......the evil one, Rumsfield, I/m sure is loving it. A guy at the gym who had been traveling throughout S.E. Asia said Americans are coming home......with few exceptions, harrassment/threats towards Americans in Muslim countries have become pretty standard. Why do the trappings of the facista keep appearing in front of me? ted
