I always wondered by the US didn't, instead of dropping the death bombs, summon Japanese leaders to first demonstrate what exactly an atomic bomb would do to their country, if they didn't immediately surrender. Instead, hundreds of thousands of innocent Japanese citizens died, leaving way to an always repetitive echo faintedly panting and pausing through time "well, it ended the war didn't it?"

But did it really have to end that way?
