There was a fantastic little book I once owned called "With Enough Shovels"- if you can ever get hold of it, it's a fine read.

The fall out shelters and under the desk stuff I remember, what I mean is (probably) the definition of a 'terrorist' in the terms of the United States was different in the 60's than it is today.
In the 60's, YOU were a terrorist (?) by the definition of the times, but did YOU honestly sit around the campfire planning an attack on a site in your own country, to take human lives ?
Yes, I know about the Math Lab at the University of Wisconsin, but even that, 'nobody was supposed to die'.
People may have wanted to blow up 'stuff', but they didn't want to kill or maim anyone, that would be counterculture to what you were trying to accomplish, let alone counterproductive.

Is that a fair statement ?
