But to say that its better to cheat on a dying wife than to make it with M. Lewinsky is just more than I can handle. Not that logic has ever influenced you in the past ... a) Both men were cheating. It is true Clinton was cheating routinely with different women, but we'll put that aside; b) Clinton, in any sensible analysis, abused his power when he "made it" with Lewinski. There cannot be consensual sex between an infatuated girl and the most powerful man in the world. The sex between, for example, Flowers & Clinton was consensual (he wasn't inordinately powerful, and she was not an infatuated kid). Most people would agree that power is an intoxicant for many women, particularly inexperienced ones. We don't permit the use of date rape drugs; why should we permit another intoxicant? (we've had this argument and disagree, so that's fine). c) Clinton raped Juanita Broaderrick. While he was never tried, the vast majority of those who saw her statement found it totally credible. d) Clinton committed sexual harrassment in at least two occurrences (Jones & Willey). e) Clinton lied under oath to cover his ass. f) While they were personal in nature and involved no crime or civil wrong, we know with certainty that he engaged in adulterous sex with Gennifer Flowers, Dolly Kyle Browning, and "Ms Arkansas" (in a car in the Capitol Parking lot). Numerous others are known as well.
