The world is mostly under the law of the jungle. There is international law but there is no international government to enforce it. Under such conditions, without a global police force, nations have to look out for their own interests.

And in this case we are the closest thing to the global cop. We are enforcing international treaties not violating them.

And let me ask you now that we have set this precedent in the world......why stop with dissident countries like Iraq. Why not bring that precedent on home? Why not round all the suspected criminals in our society, take their guns away and put them in jail.

1 - Because there is government and police in the US, not the law of the jungle.

2 - Iraq is not just a suspected criminal to the extent that international actually means something.
