Come come Mindmeld, let's not split hairs too finely. I ask someone to come and work for me. I tell them their base compensation is $x and their option compensation is $y. And in the back of their mind they are working day and night for $z = $x + $y. The hand that writes the check is irrelevant. So when you look at a company getting $z amount of work being done for it and pretend that it was getting done for the $x being reported... well, the technical term for that is kidding yourself. Feel free. Just don't ask me to pay for your mistake. John.
