I certainly do not believe in legislation from the bench. The Democrat party would probably welcome an assault on abortion to rally the troops and I would expect them to address it at a federal level. I have been writing very straight forwardly on what I anticipate, which is not the same thing as what I would wish for. However, for the moment, I will regress to fantasy and will say that I would not be opposed to the idea of states being able to individually veto federal law for themselves by a 2/3 vote by the state This of course would be done one law at a time. . * * *
