AMAT MT bot @ 12, "one unit"

"one unit" = 5% of portfolio

I have decided to do a hedge position in semi-equips. I will go long AMAT, and short CYMI.

Long AMAT, one unit each purchase, at 12 and every point on down. If we get down approaching 5, I will sell the stock and use the proceeds to buy LEAPs.

Short CYMI. Currently holding 2 units shorted at 30.5 yesterday, will short more at 31.9 (32 looks like very-ST resistance), and on up to 40.

Notice, my short position in semi-equips is larger than my long position. I intend on maintaining that stance, for now.

Neither of these are LT positions. AMAT below 8, I will consider a LT position.

I've gone through the sentiment/TA links you provided, and I'm not convinced of anyone's ability to time the bottom, except very approximately. If you can, that's wonderful for you. I'll watch you, but I'll do things in increments, with hedges, as I am not so confident of my ability to predict the future.
