Ted, <Uniting them would be our worse nightmare.>

This sounds just like the ludicrous notion that Bush caused North Korea to pursue nukes.

It is my belief that Saddam, Osama, and the Palestinian terrorist groups were linked well before this whole Iraq situation. We already have admitted links between Saddam and Palestine. Meanwhile, Powell has drawn connections between Saddam and Al Qaeda, and he probably has more evidence than he can reveal. Finally, the cheering in the streets of Palestine during 9/11 draws up a link of sympathy, if not outright support, between Palestinian terrorists and Al Qaeda.

I know my arguments are still largely based on speculation, but the evidence is building against the wishful thinking of liberals. Wasn't it you who told me that Saddam and Osama represent rival factions in an Arab world?

P.S. - Personally, I think this is the real "axis of evil," not the Iraq-Iran-North Korea "axis" that Bush mentioned in 2002.
