Well look at the price of Disel, I'd have to say that it's up around $.30 in the NorthEast in the last two weeks. I see it at $1.89 lately... Used to be able to get it for $1.39 Transportation costs going way up...

I wonder if the airlines were buying futures just incase. I know that Southwest was a heavy buyer of futures before the last spike in oil...

i"m in both camps -- stuff that was bought with a great deal of leverage and prices are already way high -- deflation

stuff that is bought day to day and prices have been depressed in historical terms -- inflation
