Death spiral...
No share price recovery is possible now;
nobody I know has any investable cash on the sideline.
Brokerage accounts are being closed out one by one, as
the balances are too small to cover the maintenance fees.
Tons of people are out looking for work.
Everywhere I turn I see people begging for money --
city services, teachers, state governments, health care.
College endowments and pension funds are suffering the
same fate. Buildings are sitting empty all around here.
Airline schedules continue being cut back. Rush hour
traffic is 65 mph now on 101. Yes, I'm finally thinking
GOLD is the place to be. Risk of catastrophe is reaching
the inevitable stage. As people have less and less to lose,
rash actions become more likely, and disaster becomes self-
fulfilling. It's not the fall of Western Civilization, but
the world is not going to be much fun for our children.

LSI's fate looks precarious to me. First week of May is the
usual time for shareholder meeting. I was out of the country
during last year's, but hope to be around this time to hear
face to face how management plans to negotiate the remaining
run-out. Wouldn't surprise me now if it's the final shareholder
meeting.
