And coming off the "irrational exuberence" of the Clinton error when corporate and public greed reached levels I have never seen before. It is going to cost us to dig out of the sh*thole that Clinton left us in, and then we will be back to normal. Just as Reagan dug us out of the 22% interest and 12% inflation that Carter left us with,Bush will dig us out of the hole that Clinton left. Clinton is the luckiest guy on the planet to have inherited such a nice legacy. Fortunately the repubs are back to save our country. "So when Republicans refuse to reduce payroll taxes (paid by all workers)" Republicans are fair. What is wrong with everyone paying a share to live here? Why is that offensive to you? "yet repeal the estate tax (paid by almost no one)," Republicans are fair. This money has already been taxed. Does not matter to you or to most demos, because demos are not fair minded people. They like to do social engineering by double taxing, and taking an inordinant amount of money form onegroup and giving it to another. "Except Europe, Canada, and Japan have higher tax rates than we do, and they have less social problems" You are a funny man. Note that we are talking about the U.S. If you truly believe that they have fewer problems than us, and you feel that we should pay more, then MOVE THERE. Please. All of them rely on us to protect them. Japan's economy has been in shmbles for a decade or two. You can't even own a satellite dish in Canada, and they almost are at war with each other (french vs. english). If France and Germany are Europe, you can have them. The rest of Europe seems fine, but I will take the good old U.S. of A. And you do know that you can pay MORE taxes than required. So spend your own money and get off the high horse you're on that makes you the arbitrator of who should pay what.
