Maybe the people in the media secretly feel that we should go to war immediately just as a means to get Bush off the world stage before he can do anymore damage.

So they don't question Powell's evidence. Overall I thought it was a little weak... but I was convinced Saddam Hussein is a threat to peace. Not as much of a threat as GW Bush, of course.

FWIW I have seen a healthy dose of skepticism of Bush policies on 60 minutes. First they had a piece on soundbytes that politicians use to sell war to the public. Those aluminum tubes were mentioned. And last week they had something on Korea where the public said they were more afraid of Bush than N. Korea.
