The negative opinions surrounding CC on this thread are in most cases warranted. That's why the stock is trading where it is. However, every retailer has competition, and that in itself isn't a reason not to buy the stock. Even though I don't think that CC will go the same way as Comp USA, CC is not a long term holding for me. I think that the stock is worth more than 0.1 times sales, 8 times earnings, and cash value, not to mention the value of the land that they own. This is a trade, nothing more, nothing less. If the company actually buys stock per their $200 million buy back announcement, it would be supportive to the stock. CC could easily see 10 in a better market environment. If it plays out that way, it would be an excellent trade from 5.

Oy....don't remind me about CompUSA. If it weren't for pure dumb luck (the fact they ended up being bought at around 10 a share), I would've taken a big loss. That was a terrible call on my part.
