(Rummy) I think getting the "lesser" Euros to sign the doc was slick and smart, but IMHO, nothing is served by called Germany/France "old Europe" or comparing Germany to Cuba...IMO, its just inflammatory, bullying, and unnecessary. I think Rummy has strengthed (not weakened) the hand of those who have been claiming from the beginning that we don't give a crap what the Euros think, and has deepened the stalemate.
We may not care (what they think), but the trick (diplomacy) is not to make it look so.

I'll welcome your retort, but this'll be my last comment..don't want to pollute thread.
