Ya know.....as I read through my posts I seemed a little grumpy. I think I spoke of vaporization of a few hundred million or something like that. Silly me...always going overboard. 125 mil should do just fine

smores anyone? <g>

Ha!...

the French are the French ... it is their nature to be obnoxious... I mean listen to their language... French would be dead easy, like italian or portuguese... but nooooooo they have to be different and use that gutural ggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg b.s. it is like they have a cat inside their throat... --lol

Argentinean and Chilean wines are superb and ask nothing from the French... the vines are Pre-philoxera ( a small little bug that nearly killed all the vitis-vinifera vineyards in Europe in the mid 1800's ) Guess who came to their rescue .... again American root stock saved the European vine as it is immune to the little bug.

Well.. the Argentinean and Chilean stock never got affected by it... most of the initial vineyards were created by Spanish, Italian (most) and French vintners at the time of the Spanish missions...

Beef ... Argentina is the best...

Coffee Colombian is the best and Guatemalan, Costa Rican, Mexican and Brazilian .... secind place

Beer.. Mexican as good as any German and even the Pilsen from the Check republic...

and the list goes on....

Someone give some help here....where and when did this spite for America start with the French?
My impression is that it started with de Gaulle. He felt he was not being treated with proper respect by the Brits and US during WW2 (even though he was on Brit soil and would have had no army but for what they Brits rescued from France and then re-equipped).

He also felt that France should have emerged freom WW2 as a major world power. On par certainly with the UK and more likely the US. Not likely. He went into a snit about it and ordered all US troops off French soil. The clown would not go all the way though, and pull France completely out of NATO.

Maybe we ought to do that for them.
