I don't disagree with your position on how to handle this. I probably do disagree as to what is driving the actions in Iraq though.

Whereas I think that there is a threat in Iraq that needs to be neutralized, I also believe that Iraq is a distraction. We have two wars going on right now and I'm not sure we even recognize that one of them is a war (China) and that the other one is being fought on a battlefield that we have yet to engage on.

As far as why Saddam wasn't taken care of before, that was a UN action and killing Saddam wasn't part of the action. Our mistake was taking too long to figure out that we should ignore the UN.
