Apology

My comment that ‘surrender is what France does best’ was only directed at the French Government. I didn’t mean to disparage any French people.

And my comment certainly wasn’t directed at Canadians either. I remember well when the Canadians bravely sheltered 6 American citizens in Iran, at their own peril. Those Canadians were crafty and courageous.

People in general are the same. It is culture that produces the biggest differences in people.

I’m very sorry if i’ve offended anyone. I’m just a little ticked at the French Government, not the people of France.

Failed Prediction:

France will not capitulate in the seven days that i predicted. However....

France will capitulate... And in a grand way when it does.

Update on Germany.. Germany has recently back tracked ever so slightly. Before, Germany said it would not support a war with Iraq even if the U.N. approves it. Now, they're saying that they won't 'oppose' the use of force if the U.N. votes for war. Technically this isn't really contradicting what they said earlier, but it does appear to be a softening of their position.

Russia has kept mostly silent and i think they'll continue to do so. When the vote comes, they'll abstain.
