How about using the first birthday? I think there would be much greater trauma for all at that timeframe. Many tests are not administered until after the birth That depends on the risk factors. I would think that responsible prenatal care would involve early testing of some sort, at least ultrasound. I know it did with us. the parents time to decide whether they like the little devil's personality or not This is the period in which those who weren't ready for a child but chose not to get an abortion tend to shake the infant until it's too brain damaged to cry. I think it's better to get them to consider whether they are ready earlier. TP
