Thanks, John and Scott, you are loyal friends.
I e-mailed their customer feedback site (twocents@thestreet.com) yesterday. I'll let you know if I get a response. This is what I wrote:

I'm taking this unusual route to try to communicate with TSC because I'm frankly at wit's end.

A very close friend, Jay Lyons, died on January 20. His wife asked me to close the on-line subscriptions that I was aware of. This has been no problem except with TSC.

I have now sent 9 e-mails (this is my tenth) since the beginning of last week, asking for confirmation that his account had been closed and any unused subscription refunded. I have had no response except for one that was not responsive, and another this morning that was blank (sic).

24 dollars a month may seem like a very small thing to most of us, but Jay's death was ruled a suicide, and Laura, his wife, now has to battle the insurance company. She has to provide for the education of Jay's children, and a fund has been set up for that purpose if you would care to contibute. (I'll send details if you're interested.)

I would be very grateful if you would respond to me - popery@yahoo.com - letting me know how you intend to dispose of this matter.

Thomas M. Pope
