...neither do the folks from Alberta...btw, people who define themselves as Canadians also define their well being by the size of the countries social programs. Actually, a great example of Canadian "anti-Americanism" would be to increase funding to healthcare or ratifying Kyoto or nationalizing something in the private sector.

...peace, prosperity and good government as opposed to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...

Regards,
Frank P.

OT* Did you know that the term "Canadian" used to refer to the French only (from the beginning of British rule until well into the 20th century), hence this is why the Montreal hockey team is called the "Canadians". The English in Canada always thought of themselves as British citizens. Now they are proud to be Canadians LOL!

If I follow your judgement, Chinises from Vancouvert and Montreal; Pakists, Germans and Ukrenians from Alberta, ect. ect... are not Canadian???

I worked there and I can assure you that they have an identity of their own but more quiet then the French! The French are different but we are still Canadian

And, don't forget, Canada and US are melting pots.

p.s. Think... the identity of the US in the world is not so good.
