a liar and a "leftie"

No, Scheer is the only one I have combined those two comments on. You and the rest of the euros had better wake up and smell the coffee. You are being dealt out of the game. Here is a clip from a post I put to another thread.

>>The UN is going to learn to get along with us better or become less and less important. They are a usable structure for dealing with a lot of small countries around the world that respect them and behave better than they would if the UN was not there.

There is a core group of people in this Admin, mainly in the so called "Neocon" camp, that have been writing ever since the collapse of the Soviet Union that Europe had too much influence on what we did. 911, plus this childish behavior by France and Germany, is letting them take over at State.

This group is also very pro-Israeli, and love the fact that Arafat has killed himself by lying to Bush, and that Sharon is in the driver's seat. They are winning against the "Arabists" at State, and now that Europe has marginalized themselves on ME policy by opposing us, their influence is going to be very strong. They are not interested in seeing that the Palestinians get a state.<<<

zonder, I documented one of Robert Scheer's lies earlier.

Published May 22, 2001 in the Los Angeles Times

Enslave your girls and women, harbor anti-U.S. terrorists, destroy every vestige of civilization in your homeland, and the Bush administration will embrace you. All that matters is that you line up as an ally in the drug war, the only international cause that this nation still takes seriously.

That's the message sent with the recent gift of $43 million to the Taliban rulers of Afghanistan, the most virulent anti-American violators of human rights in the world today. The gift, announced last Thursday by Secretary of State Colin Powell, in addition to other recent aid, makes the U.S. the main sponsor of the Taliban and rewards that "rogue regime" for declaring that opium growing is against the will of God. So, too, by the Taliban's estimation, are most human activities, but it's the ban on drugs that catches this administration's attention.

The truth:

The announcement on May 17 by Colin Powell specifically stated that the $43 million aid package(65,000 tons of wheat, $5 million in complementary food commodities, and $10 million in other livelihood and food security programs) was provided through the United Nations and nongovernmental organizations to the people of Afghanistan.
