Otherwise, they'd be keeping America informed, if not involved, on their oh-so-strong plans to "triple inspectors." Germany for months has been saying they don't agree.....when you can't get someone's attention you move it up a notch. Its just like when you have a argument with your girlfriend.......if one of you doesn't think the other one is listening or taking you seriously, you up the ante. Both countries have a good feel for the terrorism organizations in the world......Germany esp. is on top of it. It was Germany that warned us that 9/11 was a possibility and we ignored their warning. Its Germany that has nabbed any number of al Qaeda members. Its Germany that keeps warning us that the real danger is OBL. Bush thinks he knows better.......I think at a minimum the Germans are well informed with the problem. Why do you think OBL did his tape yesterday? He's egging Bush on........he wants us to attack Iraq....it will get him thousands of more recruits, millions more dollars, hundreds of thousands of new followers. Its frustrating to see that asshole out think us. We look like neophytes compared to him. And you all are worried about Saddam.......Schiesse!Plus France and Germany continue to speak as if they are acting on behalf of all Europeans. Clearly they are embracing the European anti-war movement, maybe even using it to their advantage. The more I think about it, the more it stinks. The Jimmy Carter method to peace would have at least been more honest, if not more foolish. God, what will take for you all to hear the news: most of Europe is against the war. Even where their leader is for it, his parliament and people are not for it. You don't think Germany and France have a better feel for where Europe is right now than we do? They know exactly who their constituency is and what that constituency is thinking. ted
